It’s Party Time!

I absolutely love to throw a party. It’s a wonder I’m not a party planner because I try to plan a party for every and any occasion that arises. Here you will find birthday party ideas for toddlers, 20 creative parties, 10 for girls and 10 for boys. Let’s have some fun!

If you read my post on planning your baby’s first birthday you can recall that I mentioned it’s better to wait until they can really enjoy their birthday to throw a big one, or in this case, it doesn’t have to be a huge party, just something unique and intimate.

Odds are the themes that I’ve chosen don’t have decoration sets so getting creative could be in play here, from hitting the dollar stores for color coded eating stuff to making printables on your computer, but in the end, it all works out great. I find a lot of cool party décor on Etsy as well so that could be a good place to look if you are shopping for a hard to find party theme.

I threw a Korean Pop birthday party for my oldest daughter and that’s exactly what I did and you would never know that It wasn’t a packaged deal ordered from somewhere on the internet.

Making your own printables and picking solid colors for the plates and balloons could end up making your toddlers special day even better when they see their favorite story turned into a party.

Take Old Mc Donald for instance, my son loves this song, he also loves the alphabet. I could throw an alphabet themed birthday party. Don’t be afraid to use your imagination when it comes to kids. Something really great could come from it.

How do you feel about the themes I’ve mentioned? Do you think they are worth the party table? Do you have a unique theme that you want to share? I would love to hear it and so would other moms. Please drop a comment below and I will reply.

    1. Hi there, oh, I love toddler birthday parties. My son is turning two this summer and their parties are always so cute. I hope you have a great time planning your party. Thanks for reading.

  8. Omg I love your website and for some reason this article makes me crave sweets. I have two small children. one will turn2 in June and the other will turn 1 after Christmas. I’m so glad that you mentioned that we should wait until our kids are older to throw them a big party because i suck at party planning. This will give me time to do reach. So tell me, what them do you suggest for a boy and girl first party?

    1. Hi Rachel. Yes, I planned a huge party for my son’s first birthday but a cake and a few balloons outside would have been just fine which is my plan for this July. My son is also turning 2 this summer. I think for the first birthday, for a girl, Pink in Paris is so cute, and for a boy turning one, the teddybear theme is a good way to go. I think a cake, the closest family and friends, and a few appetizers is good. I spent nearly a thousand dollars for my son’s party and that’s too much. Think small because they won’t remember it and the older they get the more they will want to be involved in their own party. Thanks for reading and sharing.

This list is amazing! I always have the hardest time thinking of creative ideas for my kids birthdays and then I tend to just pick a boxed theme for convenience. With four kiddos, I’ll definitely be bookmarking this page to reference before the next birthday! Thanks for the great suggestions. 🙂

    1. Hi Lauren, You’re welcome. I’m all about creativity so I love thinking outside the box when it comes to my kids birthdays. My son’s was an all out Dr. Seuss with a full candy bar and everything. Crazy. But I love these themes for birthdays, they are cute and good for a big or small birthday and you can be as creative as you want. Thanks for reading.
