It’s Party Time!
I absolutely love to throw a party. It’s a wonder I’m not a party planner because I try to plan a party for every and any occasion that arises. Here you will find birthday party ideas for toddlers, 20 creative parties, 10 for girls and 10 for boys. Let’s have some fun!
If you read my post on planning your baby’s first birthday you can recall that I mentioned it’s better to wait until they can really enjoy their birthday to throw a big one, or in this case, it doesn’t have to be a huge party, just something unique and intimate.
Odds are the themes that I’ve chosen don’t have decoration sets so getting creative could be in play here, from hitting the dollar stores for color coded eating stuff to making printables on your computer, but in the end, it all works out great. I find a lot of cool party décor on Etsy as well so that could be a good place to look if you are shopping for a hard to find party theme.
I threw a Korean Pop birthday party for my oldest daughter and that’s exactly what I did and you would never know that It wasn’t a packaged deal ordered from somewhere on the internet.
Girls Birthday Party Themes
Pinkalicious Party – Have you ever seen the cartoon Pinkalicious based on the books? It’s too cute and could be a really cool party theme.
Daisy Duck Party – All the focus is on Minnie Mouse, why not put someone Daisy and throw a daisy themed party?
Cupcake Themed Party – I love this one and think it could be a really good party theme with some creativity.
My Little Pony Party – What girl doesn’t like My Little Pony? Turn this into a party and you have a win.
Candy Shop Theme – Ok, there is so much that can be done with this theme and it will be a blast, just use your imagination and build a candy land for your princess.
Pink In Paris – Adorable Paris. This is a nice theme for the girly girl in your life and pretty in pink goes a long way with this.
Lady Bug Party – With red as my favorite color, I can dig this. With the red and black polka dots you can do a lot.
Rugrats Themed Party – The classic Rugrats could make a really good party theme if you know about this one. This was a go to in the 90’s so, bring it back and have a blast.
Rainbow Themed Party – Rainbows are all the rage now and a pretty party for your little girl.
Baby Shark Themed Party – Oh how I love that cute baby shark song. Turn this into a cute shark party. And this theme could actually work for a girl or boy.
Boys Birthday Party Themes
Curious George – Another classis, Curious George is the perfect theme for your younger toddler boy.
Pout Pout Fish Party – If you’ve read the books, you can turn this into a great party theme.
Tom and Jerry Party – Yet again, another classic but very low on the party chain. This theme is a nice one for little boys and could be great with some creativity.
Pirate Party – I love a pirate party, I threw one for my older son when he was older and there were gold coins everywhere. It’s a good theme.
Teddy Bear Party – Sounds cheesy? It could be a nice theme for the younger toddler boy. Cute little teddy bears with blue bows can make a happy little toddler.
Monster Party – This one I love. I like the look of the colorful monsters coming together for a party, and this theme is really starting to take off.
Underwater Party Theme – An underwater theme is one of the best you can have and the possibilities are unlimited. Playing on the Nemo premise you could do a lot with this.
Big Bird Party – Instead of Elmo and Cookie Monster, How about Big Bird? A Big Bird party could be so cute and there is a lot you could do with it still using the Sesame Street theme but highlighting Big Bird as your special guest.
Little People Themed Party – With little cars and little people, try this themed party for your little man.
Safari Themed Party – I always see safari themed baby showers. How about make a safari birthday party for your little guy? Turn your back yard or living room into a wild forest with all your little friends.
Pretty Cool, Huh?
So, there you have it. My list of unique party theme ideas. I would love to make this list longer but we could be here reading all day. I’ll be sure to add more in the future but for now this is a good start.
There are a lot of great unique themes out there and honestly, you could pick anything now and turn it into a party. If there is a favorite book your little one has this could easily be turned into a party.
Making your own printables and picking solid colors for the plates and balloons could end up making your toddlers special day even better when they see their favorite story turned into a party.
Take Old Mc Donald for instance, my son loves this song, he also loves the alphabet. I could throw an alphabet themed birthday party. Don’t be afraid to use your imagination when it comes to kids. Something really great could come from it.
How do you feel about the themes I’ve mentioned? Do you think they are worth the party table? Do you have a unique theme that you want to share? I would love to hear it and so would other moms. Please drop a comment below and I will reply.
